DESCRIPTION:Melissa Tran\, Regional Account Manager\, Ontario\, Quebec &amp\; Eastern Provinces\n\n\n\nMelissa will attend the course as a guest presenter\, delivering Phase I ESA Training: How to Use ERIS PowerSuite.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is an intensive 3-day session that is offered in a productive workshop atmosphere\, providing attendees with the training required to conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs). The course is suitable for both experienced practitioners and those wishing to enter the site assessment field and/or wish to be recognized as Canadian Site Assessment professionals. Successful completion of this course along with passing the certification exam entitles the attendee eligibility to apply for the C.E.S.A. (Certified Environmental Site Assessor) designation**.\n\n\n\nEach step of the Phase One Environmental Site Assessment process is followed according to the CSA-Z768 guidelines. Attendees who successfully complete this course\, final exam\, and meet AESAC's certification criteria\, are eligible to receive the C.E.S.A. designation.New for this course is the hands on workshop taking place during the third day. Here\, attendees will conduct a Phase I report writing exercise on a real subject property. Followed by the national standard certification exam- a prerequisite for the CESA designation.\n\n\n\nThe&nbsp\;Ontario Course&nbsp\;is expanded to included the new&nbsp\;MECP Ontario Regulations (O.R.)153/511&nbsp\;and amendments. These additions contain valuable information regarding the mandatory regulations for practitioners operating in Ontario.New MECP Topics include:\n\n\n\n\nHistory of the regulatory changes\,\n\n\n\nOverview and objectives of Ontario Regulation (O.R.) 153/511 and amendments\,\n\n\n\nDifferences between O.R. 153/511 and CSA Z768-01\,\n\n\n\nChange of Property Use and the Record of Site Condition\,\n\n\n\nRole and responsibilities of the Qualified Person\,\n\n\n\nUse of prior ESA reports\,\n\n\n\nThe “Phase I Study Area” and “Enhanced Investigation Property”\n\n\n\nExpanded Phase I research\,\n\n\n\nConducting the Site Investigation\,\n\n\n\nThe Phase I Conceptual Site Model\,\n\n\n\nReporting requirements\,\n\n\n\nIntroduction to the MECP standard Phase II ESA\,\n\n\n\n\n** must be an AESAC member in good standing and meet AESAC’s certification criteria which may include an evaluation for certification.
