In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the BCEIA is once again partnering with the BC Environmental Film Festival (BCEFF) for a special double-bill exploring Indigenous-led stewardship, ecological restoration, and our responsibilities to the lands and waters that sustain us.
The screening features The Medzih Story: Restoring a Caribou Population, documenting Fort Nelson First Nation’s work to restore caribou habitat in Treaty 8 Territory, and Fragile Flow, a powerful look at the diitiida/Jordan River watershed and the possibilities for ecological repair and renewal.
Together, the films offer two place-based stories of resilience, restoration and responsibility, while inviting audiences to consider reconciliation as an ongoing relationship with land, water, wildlife and future generations. Total film running time: 33 minutes.
