EDR and ERIS have announced the resolution of a six -year legal dispute involving EDR’s claims of copyright infringement and ERIS’ claims of antitrust violations. On May 23, 2025, the parties filed a Stipulation of Dismissal with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, bringing the matter to a close. All claims and counterclaims have been dismissed with prejudice, with each party bearing its own legal costs and attorneys’ fees.

As part of the agreement, ERIS now holds a valid license for all copyrighted Sanborn Maps and has the right to publish, copy, and distribute all copyrighted and non-copyrighted Sanborn Maps from the Sanborn Library collection.
